Kirby Chambliss (USA) beat Paul Bonhomme (GBR) in a spectacular Red Bull Air Race World Championship battle in Detroit on Sunday in front of a crowd of 750,000 U.S. and Canadian spectators lined up along the banks of the Detroit River. Chambliss was clocked in a winning time of 1:12.08, just 0.15 seconds faster than Bonhomme (1:12.23) in the third race of the 10-stop 2008 World Championship. The Brit still leads the championship. But Chambliss has proven he can be beaten.

"It worked out fairly well," said Chambliss "I went crazy and went out as fast as I could fly. I know Paul's going to put down a fast time. He's got a fast airplane. I don't know whether he went just a little bit conservative or something. But I'll take the win."

Forty years ago, motorcycle daredevil Evel Knievel made his infamous Caesars Palace jump. On New Year's Eve in 1967, Knievel successfully cleared the 150-foot jump over the fountains at Caesar's palace before crashing his Harley-Davidson upon impact and rag-dolling down the ramp in one of the most unforgettable events ever aired on American television. Flash forward four decades and the who's who of motorcycling descended once again upon Sin City, but they weren't wearing polyester and sipping martini's, they were waiting to see FMX rider Robbie Maddison attempt the longest motorcycle leap in history. The Red Bull Experiment revelers weren't alone. They were joined by the rest of the world during the live New Year, No Limits broadcast by ESPN.

The official game of the 2008 season, MotoGP 08 features all the riders, bikes and tracks providing the definitive 2 wheeled racing experience.

The development team's overriding aim is to deliver an unparalleled handling model that allows access points for gamers of all skill levels and just as importantly provide a challenge to meet each player's abilities.

MotoGP 08 puts the player at the centre of the MotoGP experience by letting them join a team and compete alongside their sporting heroes in all three race classes -- 125cc, 250cc and MotoGP. Good results in qualifying and racing earn points that can then be exchanged for bike upgrades to improve attributes such as straight line speed, braking and cornering. MotoGP 08 will mark the debut of the series on both the PlayStation 3 and Wii plus see the inclusion of the all new Indianapolis track plus the spectacle of night racing at the Qatar circuit.
